I placed an order in December with a promised delivery date in January. I was contacted that there would be a delay and today is March 17th and still no tools or more info as to why or when I should expect them. I was charged in total in December in part of a promotion buy batteries get tool free. I would imagine most would use batteries when delivered in other tools so no option to return them when it comes to ACME not fulfilling the free portion which in my case and many others was the motivation to overpay for batteries from the start
They stock some things other retailers--including Amazon--just don't, and for that I am thankful.
Whatever garbage ecommerce software they bought doesn't actually integrate with their inventory in any meaningful way so they rarely actually know what they have at any given moment and they definitely don't restock anything on any regular cadence.
They'll ship some bigger ticket items for free, but they'll do it with FedEx "Home Delivery" which is a service that has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with FedEx aside from the fact that they use the same logo. FedEx Home Delivery will throw your package in a warehouse for weeks where you cannot pick it up even if you want to, they will scan it as "delivered" so they don't get in trouble even though it's never left their warehouse, and then, if you're lucky, they'll eventually have some random idiot in a Penske rental van throw your package somewhere in the vicinity of your house and drive away. Acme Tools customer service is of absolutely no help in these situations so I cannot recommend anyone order anything from them unless there are literally no other alternatives.

Ordered wrong part. Called Acme before they shipped to cancel. Half hour on hold I opted to have them call back. They never called back. When it arrived my wife accepted it not knowing to decline. She then filed for a return. The return said to keep them and it’ll be refunded in 3-5 days. Two weeks later no refund. I don’t want them. I can’t use them. And I will never order from Acme again.
Made an order, given tracking number lots of automated communication showing the order and when it would arrive. Did not show up, arrived next day incomplete. I complained and SIRI backhandedly provided a new tracking number but no indication in the contact that it was a new number. Now the remaining part of the order will arrive tomorrow. Recapping provided one tracking number and showed pictures of the order and when shipped it was in two tracking numbers which were not provided until the complaint was lodged.
Save your blood pressure, buy from some one else.
The delivery was fast and the tool was $27.00 cheaper then Lowe's.

Having ordered several times from Acme Tools, sure, like most suppliers, there has been an issue or two over the years.... but their customer service has been excellent. And for us, resolving a problem without a lot of hassle is imperative for online purchases. If you do have an issue, take photos and send to them.... nobody can take anyone's word in the virtual world if they want to stay in business.
I have ordered 4 seperafe items from them to date. All 4 were shipped quickly and came in just as described
I wrote a bad review back in November when Acme Tools sent me the wrong item and held my refund hostage until I fixed their mistake (which I did). I alerted Walmart to their egregious behavior (including multiple instances of deception) and Walmart responded by promptly issuing my refund and apologizing for Acme’s bad behavior.
Fast forward to yesterday- Acme leaves a message on my machine saying they want payment for my “order”. At this point, there is no order. I did not respond. Then, I receive an email saying my non-order has shipped, with a FedEx tracking. The “order” does not exist on the Acme order online tool. I sent an email saying that I was not aware of any “order” and asked for the details. They responded by email, that the earlier email was sent in error and that I need to give them my credit card to pay. They also said my order was given a new order number due to a system error.
There never was an order. There never was shipping. But they sure created the impression that I somehow owed them money. They never sent any order details. They changed the order number for reasons that are unclear.
It may be gross incompetence, but based on my earlier experience when they repeatedly lied through their teeth to me (and got caught), I believe they were attempting to trick me into thinking that somehow, I had to buy whatever it is they were selling in this fictitious game.
Stay away from this vendor at all costs.
I was told a tool was in stock and would ship the next business day (despite having ordered it at 7AM) but OK, I understand. 5 days later I still hadn't received a shipping notification. I called to follow up and was told "Someone placed their order 5 minutes before you. But we should be getting the product back in stock in 4-6 weeks." Sure would've been nice to get an email informing me I wont get my item when I was told I would. Had to cancel and order from someone else. Worth every extra penny. Don't waste your time with these people.
Had my shipping address miss a suite or an apartment # it could not be delivered. I call Acme tools to get it fixed and they said I had to call FedEx because FedEx will not let them change the address after it’s been shipped out. I call FedEx they said the shipper had to call it in and change it so I called acme back that the they can do anything that it. I sent them an email of a screenshot of what FedEx said to have them call and FedEx would fix it be that had to call not me. They still would not do anything so I am out $200 bucks and have to wait to get my money back after canceling my order. I have ordered from Ohio power tool and that where I will be ordering from now on.
They waste your time by making you believe they have items in stock and unless you follow up with them after you place your order, you would never find out they lack inventory and that it would actually take 4-6 weeks for delivery. Don't bother ordering from them, a total waste of time.
Acme Tools is deserving of my highest rating for the following reasons: They offered me a first-timer price discount, along with free (and fast) shipping. They also kept me updated on my order status and shipping details. I would not hesitate to repeat business with them and I unreservedly recommend them as A+ on all levels. Thank You Acme Tools!
